I worked at NetApp from 2014 until 2018 as their HR Intranet Webmaster maintaining multiple internal websites: Human Resources for US, Corporate, Culture, HR-India, HR-APAC and HR-EMEA.
NetApp has over 10,000 employees. As such each department or group within the company has their own Intranet site. The HR department started their website on Joomla and when I was hired they were transitioning over to WordPress. They have compressed and consolidated websites - all of which I have participated in. The LOV (Living Our Values) and GPTW (Great Place To Work) websites were consolidated into culture.netapp.com. I was the one, after being at the company for a few weeks, who suggested that they consolidate all of their information regarding culture onto one website, culture.netapp.com. That suggestion took on a life of its own and ended up becoming a huge project. Since NetApp is in 48 different countries benefits, holidays and many other areas need to be communicated to all employees. I worked on and help to build the Culture, Europe, Asia and India websites.
I oversee content working with the content owners on posting content, create and post banners, give suggestions on how to tie new projects together. I essentially lead our small web team comprised of me as the project manager and a back-end technical contractor in India. NetApp is very team orientated and individual ownership of responsibilities is encouraged throughout the company. It's part of the culture.
Every quarter NetApp holds an All-Hands meeting that is broadcast to all employees throughout the company. I worked with the IT and audio visual All Hands team to help communicate the information regarding the meeting - streaming, where to gather, an alternate streaming link and other All-Hands meeting details.
I created images, banners and selected photos to be posted on the Intranet websites. I used Photoshop and Illustrator to create the images and banners. I worked with coding HTML on 6 Wordpress sites. In addition, when we had server issues, I was the main contact person.
